We can show mercy by giving money to the poor, food to the hungry, or a bed to the homeless. God delights in mercy, and as a Christian we have the privilege of showing mercy. David spared Saul’s life after Saul tried to kill him. Joseph was merciful to his brothers after they sold him into slavery. The Bible teaches that those people whom God has blessed the most abundantly were merciful to other people. Jesus said, ““Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy” (Matthew 5:7).
